Tencon Foundations are designed using similar methods to those used for steel reinforced cast in-situ ground beams. Housebuilders' existing engineers design Tencon Foundations with Keskin Tencon Ltd offering technical support and design guidance.

How are designs carried out?
Tencon Fast Base Foundations are designed using either of 2 methods:

1. Tencon Design Charts
Tencon load / span charts allow a relatively straightforward and quick design procedure. These are independently verified by the British Board of Agrément and may be downloaded from the BBA website or using the link opposite.

2. Finite Element Modelling
For more complex structural designs, Tencon recommends use of finite element modelling. Tencon offers technical support and guidance to engineers in the use of FE modelling to design Tencon Fast Base Foundations.
