Pre-Pour Site Preparation

Pre-pour Site Preparation

Site preparation is similar to that used for conventional in-situ slabs. Tencon Slabs typically require a "toe" over foundation supports. This is formed using the insulation under the Tencon Slab - by leaving supports uncovered by the insulation, the Tencon Slab is locally thickened up in those regions. This results in an overall lower volume of Tencon Concrete being used and a lower cost installation for the developer.

Tencon Floor System Installation:
The installation process is similar to that used for laying conventional in-situ slabs.

There are 4 key stages:
1. Preparation
2. Concrete Pour
3. Tamp / Level and
4. Finishing

Tencon Slabs are installed by house-builders' existing groundwork contractors once given an approved status by Keskin Tencon Ltd.
